St. Paul’s Garda Credit Union Ltd. is inviting applications from members interested in being nominated as a candidate for election to the Board of Directors or Board Oversight Committee at this year’s Annual General Meeting, which will take place in December 2020.
We would particularly welcome applications from St. Paul’s members (Garda including Garda Staff and Reserve, Retired and Family members) with experience or skill sets in any of the following areas, Finance and Financial Services, Credit, Market (Investment) and Operational Risk, Marketing, I.T. and Project Management.
All Credit Unions must implement a Fitness and Probity Regime and these standards apply to all Volunteers on the Board of Directors and Board Oversight Committee.
Successful applicants will undergo an induction process and will be required to complete an accredited training program to ensure that they have the practical knowledge and skills to carry out their role in a responsible and effective manner.
New applicants must ensure that they have sufficient time to devote to the role and the responsibilities associated with that role, applicants should note that the roles of Director and Oversight Committee member are voluntary and unpaid.
