Ireland recently celebrated the one-hundredth anniversary of the creation of the Civic Guards. To commemorate these events Cork City Libraries Historian in Residence, Alan Noonan, has created a thematic series to promote public understanding of the experiences and history of what started as the Civic Guard and became An Garda Síochána. Written and narrated by Alan Noonan, Ph.D. Produced and edited by Jordan McCarthy.
